Is there a limit on personal loans?

There is no limit on personal loans – at least not a universal limit. Lenders set their own personal loan limits, with most willing to lend anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000 per borrower. This can consist of one loan or more than one, if the lender allows the same borrower to have multiple loans outstanding. However, it’s possible for borrowers to take out loans from multiple lenders, so there is effectively no limit as long as the borrower’s credit and income justify the loan approvals.
